Flower Girls is about Juxtaposing flowers with the Beauty of African American women’s hair, style and grace. Lady with a Pearl Earring takes direct inspiration from Johannes Vermeer, Girl with a Pearl Earring. Sunflowers and Afro showcase a woman’s hair that mimics the Sunflowers she is holding. Flower Girls is a series that I see myself growing and evolving.
